Tom Loraine – Coining It In!

1st October 2019

Leaving off from his last report, Tom Loraine drops us a line with more captures from down the Manor…

“I’ve managed a few more recently with the fish harvesting the last of the naturals in the deep silt they’ve become somewhat tricky to slip up. Long Tungskin boom hinges and short 25lb Recoil sections leading to 3 more captures over the past few weeks. Size 5 Out-Turned Eye Hooks firmly holding fast in the deep water battles with some immense hooks holds a few inches back!

This one is known as “Poundcoin” at a very healthy early autumn weight of 43lb.

With my trips being split between Manor and the Non-publicity syndicate, it’s proved to be a very positive start to the Autumn and fingers crossed it continues as the wet and inconsistent weather finally takes hold and those longer nights draw in.

Fish taken on naked heli set ups with double ring swivels and the PTFE hook ring swivel screws mounted with Krill white ones.
