LUKE MALLET – SPRING START
3rd May 2019
Luke Mallet has had a great start to the spring down on the Wharf Fishery with a session rescued by a last-minute move…
‘I recently fished a 48 hour session on the wharf, I set up in a swim the first night on a few fish and was surprised when nothing happened. The following day I did a lap of the venue and found a few fish a bit further down from my original position and so made the move for the last night. I was glad I did as that night I managed to land 4… with them both being double takes! A great result and a good start to the spring! The best two were this cool chocolate linear and this chunky old common just shy of 30lb.
All fish were caught on Slip-D rigs using the TA Tungskin in 25lb, Hook Ring Swivels, the new Curve Point hooks in size 5 with a small section of the Brown Shrink Tube. An efficient rig with great components.’
