Ant Perry's tale of 7 nights, nine public waters and 1000 miles drive

After fishing the days only Kent water Sutton on and off since 2004, I finally caught my nemesis, the Big Fully at 42lb!
Having seen the big mirror amongst others the day before in the zone, I laid my trap before first light and hooked him at 7am. A short while after lifting into the fish, I had a good idea which fish it was as I had watching another angler play him many years ago and it was the same scenario… he put up a dogged fight under the rod tip, hugging the bottom for about 15 mins… with steady pressure, I lifted him to the waiting net. Once in the net, I gave it the shout at the top of my voice with the elation! The relief and the adrenalin high is still going strong 2 weeks later!
