Ben has, without doubt, fished some of the most pressured and tricky waters in the country. He has honed his skills over the past two decades, around the famous Yateley complex and on some of the big Thames Valley pits.
With early captures such as Heather, Arfur and Dustbin from the notorious and super busy Car Park Lake, to the much sought after Split-tail from Sheepwalk and more recently, the huge Chertsey mirror at 58+, Ben has proven his watercraft and resilience on a wide variety of what many consider to be seriously tough challenges.
Ben has also worked tirelessly in tackle design and development. Building up his company Thinking Anglers over the past decade, he has bought fresh ideas and many new products to the carp/specialist angler.
He is probably best known for his relentless and meticulous spot preparation within an angling situation. Careful and ever consistent, he builds his chances and opportunities around his work life, often managing to make things look relatively “easy” on his overnight angling between work. However, the work behind the scenes is often overlooked!
Loving all forms of angling, Ben can often be found in the winter months fishing for his beloved predators, such as Perch and Zander, on the rivers and canals of his home town.
